About Armando DuBon Jr.
Armando DuBon Jr. – A Passionate Actor and Gifted Storyteller From a very young age, Armando DuBon Jr. knew for certain that his life would include a career in Hollywood. As a child in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in Central America, he would spend countless hours at his neighbor's house watching the classics in film and television: The Wizard of Oz, It’s A Wonderful Life, Lawrence of Arabia, Gone With The Wind, I Love Lucy, Gunsmoke and Star Trek. Sitting there in his special tiny chair, he fell in love with movies -- and acting. Flash forward to the DuBon family’s arrival in San Francisco. Suddenly, Armando’s Hollywood dreams were close enough to be real. His childhood became a rich multi-cultural experience that catered to his curiosity about people, humanity and life in general. And in the “City by the Bay,” his creative interests flourished. When he learned of an opportunity to become involved with the best theatrical talent in the region, with the support of family, he decided to pursue his passion with all his heart and soul. Armando received his acting training under the guidance and influence of the great Jean Shelton at Jean Shelton’s Actors Studio in San Francisco and later was a company member of the Actors Theatre of San Francisco/ATSF under Artistic Director Christian Phillips. The more he solidified his craft, the stronger his passion for acting grew. His love for acting comes from being able to share and tell stories about humanity through whomever he plays on screen or stage. Armando is somewhat of a “chameleon.” He has the versatility to be able to portray a broad spectrum of characters, from the most exotic hero to the humble everyman. Over the years, he has gained a variety of professional experiences, entertaining and educating audiences through dramatic, humorous and adventurous works. He has acted in many film productions, theatrical and video projects, has performed voice-over, and is experienced in public speaking both as a presenter and interviewer. He brings an unshakeable commitment, focus and love for the craft of acting to every performance. On set, Armando has developed a reputation for being a very dedicated, positive and warm professional, whom both executives and production teams alike appreciate having in their cast. The future is bright for Armando DuBon Jr., who between film projects and theater performances is writing multiple screenplays. He received a “Best Actor” Award from Orange County Film Academy of the Arts Film Project for his work on “My Luck,” which premiered at the OC Film Festival. Armando is fluent in English and Spanish and resides in Southern California (Laguna Niguel), where he spends time with family, writing, enjoying the beach and researching roles in between auditions in Hollywood and travel to film locations throughout North America. He is absolutely fulfilling the American dream he saw for himself years ago and is always looking to challenge himself and grow as a human being and as an actor.
