Parenting During the 20-Something Years
In this show, Dr. Jeffrey Arnett and Elizabeth Fishel discuss their book Getting To 30:  A Parent's Guide to the 20-Something Years. As defined by Dr. Arnett, these “emerging adults” from 18 to 29 years are in the important life stage that launches, loads and eventually lands them into adulthood. In the back and forth with host, Dr. Suzanne Phillips, these experts use research findings and personal examples to discuss how and why young adults of this age move through changes in identity, living arrangements, love interests and career choices in their process toward adulthood.

With this in mind, Dr. Arnett and Elizabeth Fishel address the challenging, confusing, but greatly rewarding role of parents. From living under the same roof when children “boomerang” back home, to the ten worst things parents can say, they offer parents guidelines that are realistic and effective.  This show is as interesting as it is important.
