Could My Child Be Depressed?
Often as parents we worry about a child who seems sad, irritable or unhappy. We want to help but we worry about overreacting or “ labeling” our child--“Don’t kids just go through stages?”

Listen in as host Dr. Suzanne Phillips raises the questions parents want to ask with Dr. Deborah Serani, psychologist and author of Depression and Your Child: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers.

In a style that is personal, informative and relieving, Dr. Serani discusses everything from disagreeing parents, the rationale for assessment, the value of different types of treatment to dealing with stigma. Using examples from her own life and her professional practice, Dr. Serani gives us a reason to believe in the resilience of children and the way to help them find the happiness they deserve.
