Giving Back, Helping Others
A large part of what drives us at CoSozo is the desire for everyone to be able to live the best life they possibly can. When you are faced with a serious health challenge, life changes drastically. When you don’t have health insurance and are faced with paying the medical bills yourself, not only does the family worry about the health and mortality of the person who is ill, but also they must worry about what will befall the family in the wake of those overwhelming expenses.
There are unfortunately thousands of Michigan residents who need assistance and help right now, emotionally, physically and financially. One of those residents is Lisa Blemaster of Maple Rapids.
Lisa, a mother of three, has stage four cancer and no health insurance. Her cancer has metastisized in her spine, having originated in her breast. The medical costs, as you can imagine, are staggering.
Michigan communities have held some benefits to assist the family with their medical expenses. Lisa has three sons: Jakob, age 6, Randall, age 7, and Rhet, age 9. Lisa was first diagnosed last July and had a mastectomy in August.
