Kirtan Dance Party - Grand Rapids, MI

Join me for my first public full Kirtan event in Grand Rapids, MI in almost a year. This cutting edge event will integrate musicians from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Cincinnati, Detroit and Chicago. Join us for a 'Kirtan Dance Party' that features a full Kirtan band, Chicago based DJ and Detroit based DJ, VJ and electronic keyboardist. Together we will chant, groove and play with energy through music and movement.

This innovative Kirtan event blends Kirtan with electronica... chanting with an opportunity to move to funky beats laid down by Chicago DJ Shannon Harris. Check out some of his music at http://shannonharris-urbanicity.bandcamp.com/

Also joining the group is Detroit based DJ, VJ and electronic keyboardist JoFus Smith.

Dynamic, funky beats, fresh tracks, stellar musicianship and blissful chanting make Kirtan with Mike Cohen intoxicating and joyful. This exhilarating musical experience will delight your heart and keeps you smiling for days. Irresistible blends of Eastern mantra and Western grooves will leave you singing and dancing, energized and inspired!  Join your community to chant, connect and, pick up a copy of Mike's new CD - SOUL CONTACT.
