hopes and dreamsAhhh… February! Love is in the air, a sense of hopefulness abounds, and life really does seem wonderful this February! I don’t know about you, but I am filled with the joy of infinite new possibilities! In January we celebrated a new year, a new president, and now we move forward into our year focusing on love and all of the wonderful hopefulness that surrounds us.

This month we have a number of great articles, as always! Barbara Meconis is our featured columnist this month and she has written a spectacular feature about the role of pH in our health. For those of you who are new to this information, you will be amazed, and all of us can benefit from her wise words. Thank you Barbara!

We also have an article on the debate between drinking raw or pasteurized milk. Be sure to look back at our March 2008 article if you need additional information, but I really found this article interesting. As we all know, it’s important to know what is really going into your body, and even more important to understand words that we use frequently but may not know the difference between.

One of my favorite articles is an article we are offering this month on accepting yourself no matter what size you are. This article features a movement that focuses on accepting yourself at any size you are. Obviously we all need and want to be healthy, and I believe strongly that self-acceptance and self-love must be a critical focus of any wellness initiative.

We are also featuring a great article on the benefits of art therapy. As a creative type myself, I often really benefit from some sort of creative release, and I’m so pleased that we are highlighting for you the benefits of this approach to wellness.

There are two other articles I wanted to make sure to highlight in this issue. The first is an article on socially responsible investing. Especially in light of the devastation that has been caused by Bernie Madoff and our increased focus on our economic situations, this article, including wisdom from Ray James, an expert from the Kalamazoo area of Michigan, is particularly relevant.

therapeutic ridingThe other article is one that is near to my heart. For years, I have loved horses and the feeling that I get from being around them. I find them to be particularly fascinating and in many ways spiritual creatures, and really enjoy a sense of freedom and adventure when I’m riding (although regrettably, I haven’t for some time now!) So it’s with great joy that we are including an article on hippotherapy, or equine-assisted therapy. I think you’ll really enjoy it!

In this month of love, when we celebrate our loved ones on Valentine’s Day, take a few moments to celebrate yourselves as well. We all have so much to give, so much to be grateful for. Don’t forget yourselves and how incredible you are as you turn your focus on your loved ones So, enjoy yourselves and enjoy your loved ones as we move further forward into 2009.

On a professional note, thank you all for your feedback, as well as your excitement about where we at CoSozo are headed this year. One of the comments I get the most is that our publications are extraordinarily high quality. Thank you for noticing, and yes they are! Just as we believe that everyone, each one of us, is entitled to the best health and wellness in life, we also believe that everyone is entitled to high quality publications! Our publications’ circulation numbers reflect that you feel the same. Thank you for your continued support! Your feedback and support are invaluable to us.
