Kicked in the Gut - Your Personal Power Energy Center
Think back a moment when you were younger.

You might have been in elementary or high school.  You're with a group of kids, maybe your peers. You're all laughing, enjoying being together. You laugh a little too loud. Everyone looks at you.

The most popular person in the group turns to you and says, "You have the worst laugh."

The group goes silent.  You feel betrayed. You feel like you got kicked in the gut.

It's your personal power energy center under attack and you can almost feel the energy drain from it.

It's why people, when confronted with hurtful emotions, say they feel like they were 'kicked in the gut".

Your Solar Plexus Chakra, or wheel of light, is located near the Solar Plexus just below the sternum.  It's associated with personal power, and your ego.  You need your ego - and like with most things in life, balance is the key.  Strong egos that dominate or weak ones who are passive are the two extremes and an indication this Chakra is out-of-balance.

Since this Chakra rules the stomach and the pancreas, and therefore digestion and insulin production, digestive distress and hyper- or hypo-glycemia  can be traced to an inbalance in this Chakra.

A balanced Solar Plexus Chakra manifests as assertive behavior, and an ability to feel your own strength while respecting others'.

The color of this Chakra is bright lemon yellow.  Think a spring daffodil.  Or the center of a daisy.

Balancing Your Solar Plexus Energy Center
  1. As with every time you work with your Chakras, it's important to get to a relaxed state.  Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths-in through your nose and out your mouth. Be present.
  2. Get the energy moving in your hands by rubbing them together briskly.
  3. Imagine a lemon tree holding rich yellow lemons.  Focus in on one. Pour  the color of the lemon into your palms.
  4. Place your palms, one on top of the other, over your solar plexus.
  5. Allow the yellow essence to enter your solar plexus
  6. Stay that way for a few minutes and enjoy the feeling of your personal power re-generated and any digestive issues beginning to lessen.
  7. When done, thank the Universe or nature

All chakras, when balanced, will spin in a clockwise direction on the body.  You can easily test your own chakras using a pendulum or even with a paper clip on the end of the string.  More to come.....
