Ruth Ann has spent over 25 years in the health insurance sales field as an independent agent and as Regional and District Sales Representatives with several Michigan based and national insurance companies. She has seen first hand the changing climate of our health insurance industry over the years. The evolution of insurance payor systems and rising medical costs have given way to a broken health care system which often leaves the patient caught in the middle between the health practitioner and the insurance companies. Healthcare has evolved to the point where patients must take ownership of their health care, therefore available health information is extremely vital to this goal. Ruth Ann is so excited to be a part of CoSozo because of their mission to bridge the gap between traditional medicine and the alternative/holistic practices, giving their readership the tools to make conscious healthcare choices that are in alignment with their own personal beliefs. In her spare time, Ruth Ann has taught many types and levels of fitness classes and swimming lessons. Eric McPherson is very excited to be in his new position with CoSozo as an advertising executive. As someone who grew up here in mid-Michigan, he is very pleased to be affiliated with an organization that will affect our community in a positive way with a focus on the health and well being of our families, friends, and community.
Eric was born in Ohio but did a majority of his growing up here in the Lansing suburb of Wacousta. He attended Grand Ledge High school before continuing my education at Lansing Community College and Michigan State University.
Professionally Eric has been in advertising sales a majority of his adult life. In the past he has worked for Capitol Area Ad Works as Director of Marketing, Foxmark Media as Midwest Regional Manager, People to People Marketing as Director of Marketing and Great Lakes Psychological Services as Community Relations Coordinator. Several of his positions took him away from the Lansing area but he returned in 2000 to be closer to his family, where he currently resides in Lansing’s “Old Town” neighborhood.
In addition to his professional accomplishments he is currently a member of LAHR, Suits and the city, and the GLGMC of which he has also served on the board of directors from 2002 to 2006 as a member at large and Vice President. He has also been involved with LAAN in their fundraising and community outreach efforts.
